Albarea is old money, mostly from their numerous vineyards in Sonoma. The family has had their hand in it since the nineteenth century, with their roots tracing to Spain and Italy.
Jusis moved so he could attend college, which was a damn sight better than Harvard (his dad's choice). His mom went to school here and was a native, and he wants to know more about her and her family.
Mom is alive but in ill health. Dad's a jackass. You know the type. He's an only child in this AU though.
Jusis video calls his mom as much as possible. His phone is otherwise something he doesn't tinker with much. He uses it to read books and post horses to instagram and that's honestly about it.
A serious and studious boy. He started taking college courses at 17 before he graduated high school, so he could get back to helping his mom and dad ASAP.
He's balancing his business education with what his dad wants him to do/learn to do, so he's got a lot of responsibilities. This also means he's not a lot of fun most of the time, but...
He retains his blissful obliviousness to commoner stuff like instant coffee, apples that aren't pre-sliced, and canned roasted corn.
He also loves horses. He has always loved horses. When horses were replaced with chocobos he didn't notice, but now he definitely prefers horses and the Derby and everything around that. He owns a horse at home.
He's loaded. Absolutely loaded. He's renting a condo at the moment, and his (large, expensive, foreign) car is already paid off.
Prickly at first, but having people who don't care about his money will wear him down fast.
Very sentimental. You bet he'll be keeping everything people give him and putting it somewhere in his house.
